Villa Sammal is a modern lakeside villa on the shore of Lake Näsijärvi in Tampere, Finland. Designed to blend naturally into the surrounding landscape, it combines modern comfort, peaceful nature and a traditional Finnish sauna experience.
Villa Sammal is ideal for families, groups of friends and two generations travelling together. During summer, the villa is rented together with the nearby Little Cabin, providing accommodation for up to nine guests. The Little Cabin is available only during the warmer months. In winter, Villa Sammal accommodates up to six guests.
Sammal means “moss” in Finnish. The name reflects the natural surroundings of the villa, where moss grows abundantly among the rocks and forest floor. The name is also personal: Juhamatti, one of the owners, has studied green roofs and has a long-standing interest in buildings that blend naturally into their environment.
